Feni, 20 October 2026 — Peace, not war. A future, not destruction. With this pledge, International Youth Change Maker (IYCM) held its “Youth for Peace, Equality & A Nuclear-Free World” programme in Feni.
The programme took place on Monday afternoon in front of the Feni District Government Public Library. It was organised by Feni Mukta Scouts Group and led by Mehedi Hasan, IYCM’s Feni District Leader. Eighteen young people took part, carrying hand-written placards calling for peace and equality.
The placards read:
“We want peace, not nuclear weapons”
“We want a world of equality and a future free of nuclear weapons”
“We Want A Future, Not A Mushroom Cloud”
“Equality For All, Nukes For None”
“Youth Rise For Peace — No War, No Nuclear Weapons”
The participants said nuclear weapons threaten not just one country but all of humanity and the generations to come. Young people will build tomorrow’s world, so they must be the first to speak out against war, inequality and nuclear weapons. Through the programme, they pledged to help build a peaceful, just and equal world.
Under its slogan “For Every Child & Youth,” IYCM works with young people across districts of Bangladesh to raise awareness for peace, equality and sustainable development. The Feni programme is part of that ongoing effort.
