As part of its humanitarian efforts during the holy month of Ramadan, International Youth Change Maker (IYCM) organized a Ramadan Child Health & Nutrition Awareness Campaign along with a community iftar for orphan and underprivileged children at Jamena Khatun Islamia Madrasa & Orphanage, Siddhirganj.
The program was conducted under IYCM’s ongoing initiative “Ramadan Smiles – Season VII”, aiming to promote child health, hygiene awareness, and nutritious food habits among vulnerable children.
During the program, IYCM volunteers held an interactive awareness session where children learned about the importance of proper handwashing and personal hygiene. A practical demonstration was arranged to teach them the correct handwashing technique, and each participating child received a bar of soap and a hygiene awareness leaflet.
To encourage healthy eating habits, IYCM arranged a nutritious iftar menu consisting of fruits, dates, chickpeas, and refreshing drinks instead of traditional fried items. Before iftar, the children also participated in Hamd, Naat, and Quran recitation, followed by a short discussion on moral values and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
After Maghrib prayer, the children were served a warm meal including rice, meat, and vegetables, allowing them to enjoy a joyful and dignified Ramadan evening.
Through this initiative, IYCM aimed to promote healthy lifestyles, compassion, and community support for orphan and underprivileged children, continuing its mission of creating positive social impact.
