Awareness Campaign on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Rohingya Refugee Community
Organized by: Mohammed Anos, Change Maker at IYCM
Location: Community Learning Center
As part of the #SDGsForEveryone initiative, I conducted a session focused on raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among Rohingya refugee students. The session was attended by 25 students from grades 2 to 4.
We began the session by introducing ourselves and creating a friendly, inclusive environment. A group discussion followed, where participants actively shared their thoughts and experiences related to key SDG topics including climate change, zero hunger, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), basic healthcare, and access to safe drinking water.
The engagement from the students was encouraging. They demonstrated curiosity and a strong willingness to learn about how these global goals connect with their everyday lives.
At the conclusion of the session, the participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the International Youth Change Maker (IYCM) network for initiating this impactful campaign.
